7:49 a.m.: Milwaukee County reports 45 new cases as hospitalizations continue general decline
Five more people have died from coronavirus in Milwaukee county
The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner reported four COVID-19 related deaths on Sunday and one early Monday, bringing the county’s total coronavirus-related deaths to 156.
Those who died were ages 55 through 96. Three were black men and two were white women.
The county reported 45 more coronavirus cases Monday morning since Sunday morning.
While the number of cases continue to climb as testing increases, the number of people hospitalized in Milwaukee County with COVID-19 has been on a slow decline for 2 weeks.
As of Sunday, according to a county dashboard, 160 people were in a hospital in the county with COVID-19. That’s down from a high of 267 people hospitalized on April 12.
