Ray and Deborah Engelking

The family of Ray Engelking, the retired West Bend West High School teacher who was killed last week in Kewaskum, has established a scholarship fund in his name.

The Ray Engelking Memorial Scholarship Fund will support West Bend West students at risk of not graduating by funding educational opportunities at Moraine Park Technical College.

Engelking, 72, taught economics at West Bend West from 1970 to his retirement in 2005.

Tax-deductible donations can be made on the website wbcolumns.org/donate. Donors are asked to type the name Ray Engelking in the name of the scholarship field.

A GoFundMe account has also been set up to establish seed money for the scholarship.

Engelking and a neighbor died Feb. 3. The suspect in the rampage was killed by a Washington County Sheriff’s deputy.
