State Sen. Chris Larson as well as his son and daughter have tested positive for COVID-19.
Larson, D-Milwaukee, and his family were tested Saturday after receiving notice that a child his daughter interacted with had tested positive. Everyone tested negative, except his daughter, who admitted to her parents she had been feeling sick.
Larson tested positive on Wednesday and so did his son. His wife is fully vaccinated and remains negative for COVID-19.
He received his first shot of the Pfizer vaccine on March 22 and is scheduled to receive his second shot on April 20.
“Having the first shot helps lessen the severity of (COVID-19). There’s very few, if any, cases that have been fatal after the first shot,” said Larson.
Larson described his symptoms as mild with a headache and a heavy feeling in his lungs.
He said he will continue to quarantine at his home and work virtually.
